Who cares about Barry Bonds? Why is he being prosecuted for steroid use or lying about it or anything? I don’t know, or I do not care? Who pays for all of this? Do the taxpayers pay? Then I care! They treat this guy like he is OJ Simpson or something. He didn’t or even hurt anyone! Come on people get real!
Dear Ignorance is Bliss: Cheating? Lying? Honesty? Justice? Does it really matter whether it’s a professional ball player or a congressman? I personally get pissed off when somebody (Henry Paulson is a good example) games the system and gets away with it, and am more than happy to spend some of my tax dollars seeing that justice is done. You should care about Barry Bonds, because it’s so obvious that he cheated. And if he gets away with it, don’t cry when somebody else rips you off and gets away with it. Barry (and Henry and a host of other greedy pigs) is certainly setting a good precedent for the cheaters in our society!
I guess it says something about the state of our culture if someone lies and cheats and we don’t really care. Back in the day, this was shameful. These days, all we care about is whether Clinton’s cigar was a real Cuban or not. Everyone, including his wife it seems, has forgotten about the stain on the dress. My advice to you is to change the channel.
